How the math works

We solve backwards from your target margin after discount and commission.

  • Unit Cost = COGS (recipe + pack) + CAPEX/portion + OPEX/portion
  • Net Revenue needed so that Profit / Net Revenue = Target Margin ⇒ Net Revenue = Unit Cost / (1 − Margin)
  • Platform commission applies on discounted price: Net Revenue = (1 − Commission) × (MRP × (1 − Discount))
  • So MRP = Net Revenue / ((1 − Commission) × (1 − Discount))
